The Interpretations series are collections of patterns by two international designers Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki.
The series follows the journey of two friends from opposite sides of the world (Argentina and Finland) united by their love for their country and their passion for knitting.
Each volume includes six themes: six words with two drawings inspired by each word, showing a personal take on each of those themes. The 6 words Joji and Veera have chosen for their new collection are Wonder, Root, Wild, Natural, Beyond, and Light ! These adorable books are destined to become collectors’ items, not to mention beautiful pattern resources that you’ll want to return to again and again. This year marks the first time the two designers haven’t been able to be together to shoot the pattern photography for Interpretations. Due to travel restrictions, Joji and Veera shot their photos in their respective homelands of Argentina and Finland. However, we think this volume is just as cohesive as its predecessors and reflects the hard work Joji and Veera put into making Volume 7 during a global pandemic!
