Doulton Border Leicester DK, is particularly suitable for gloves and mittens thanks to its strength. It is a very interesting yarn because it is obtained from a breed of English sheep at risk of extinction often used in crossbreeding to improve the characteristics of the fleece of other breeds. At Doulton, in Yorkshire, Border Leicester sheep die of old age, so they are happy sheep and for this reason their yarn is to be considered vegan.
