Pom Pom Quarterly Issue 47 - Print + Digital
Pom Pom has always celebrated color in knit and crochet, and this issue is no exception. The love of color is manifested in the quest to include as much of it as possible in each piece, but for this monochromatic-themed issue, the challenge was to use more subtle tonal color differences within a single shade, or closely related.
In this issue, the designers played with depth, saturation and brightness; maximum impact with minimum contrast.
In addition to the designs, there is an interview with Dana Williams-Johnson who enthusiastically answers questions about her doctoral thesis focused on knitting and the representation of Black women in the online craft community.
Inside the magazine there is also a winter recipe by Fi Churchman.
